Dick Griffin, CEO
Dick Griffin
attended Ohio State on a football scholarship under Coach Woody
Hayes.
Afterwards he owned
and operated an Underground Service Company in Akron/Cleveland
Area. While working
near Clarksburg, West Virginia, he fell in love again with his home
state and its
people.
Dick started Telecom
in 1973 after the break-up of Bell Atlantic's monopoly of system
ownership and
installed over 1,000 systems in West Virginia. He invented the
Navy’s
Cascon System still
used in submarines today and the Call Orbit technology (now called
Parking Orbit) that
allows a phone call to be answered from any phone.
Dick is considered a
leading authority on digital signals over standard phone lines.
Motivated by the
market needs of superior phone systems and service in West Virginia,
he established Dick
Griffin & Co in 1996 and became a Siemens Channel Partner in 1997. |
